About the data

Every figure on this site comes from a U.S. federal publication. U.S. government works are in the public domain; we reshape them into county pages and maps but do not change the values.

  • Conforming loan limits — Federal Housing Finance Agency, county list for 2024, 2025, 2026. Updated each late November for the next year.
  • FHA forward mortgage limits — U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, CY2026, with the county median sale price HUD uses. Updated each December.
  • Income limits — HUD, FY2026 (published in spring). In New England, where HUD publishes by town, we show the county's most populous HUD area.
  • Fair market rents — HUD, FY2026 and FY2027 (FY2027 applies from October 1, 2026).
  • County map — U.S. Census Bureau boundaries via the us-atlas project.

We check the sources automatically and rebuild the site when they change. This site is not affiliated with FHFA, HUD, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac or any lender, and nothing here is a loan offer or financial advice.

Who built this

Loan Limit Map is designed, built and run by Digital Dynamics Kft., a small European software studio (Hungary, EU). We wrote the data pipelines, the map engine and the site, and we host them on our own servers in the European Union. We also run Tornado Live Map, Earthquake Live Map, Planting Zone Map and Home Hazard Map.

The same team builds custom software for businesses: online shops and websites, SaaS products, ERP and back-office systems, mobile apps for Android and iPhone, and data collection, automation and map-based dashboards — or anything else that can be programmed. Projects are delivered turnkey, with a 12-month bug-fix warranty and EU GDPR compliance.
